You did a great job on your presentation! It is true that genders do see certain things in life that are important to them when looking at them and each other. Look at how American culture values this in marriage or trying to find a mate because I feel that is why many people are changing and how they are just looking how they look and not what type of person they are.(Who knows that person you are dating could be a bad one and not the right one for you). Maybe if you look at that you will be good!!
I agree to Wesley. Generally, in American culture, people would like to dress themselves up according to what they think others people value. So I think you can stress how people change themselves depending on others' preferences in your research.
This is an interesting topic talking not only about media but genders' perspectives divergence. I somewhat want to read your paper now as it calls for exceptional secondary sources and your own argument combined, which is not as directive as other papers'thesis statement.
I think you can find a lot of good info on gender equality or inequality. I'm a little confused on the exact point behind the thesis. What exactly are you trying to persuade? There is definietly certain stereotypes around each sex that you could pursue. Where do you want to take that though?

Looking at the different stereotypical roles for males and females would help with your research. How have people changed the way they look and act throughout the past? You can also look at the stereotypes from the past to today to see how they changed and why. I hope this helps with your paper.
