The main focus for my paper was going to be the growth of Racial Equality, Gender Equality, and Class Equality. While looking at America's fight for a better tomorrow.
When doing the research for secondary sources I found that, while racial and gender equality have been achieved class equality is still being fought for.
I began to think of why this is still a continuing fight in America, and what it says about American culture when we look at the achieved and un-achieved equalizations in this country.
I now want my paper to focus on what makes racial and gender equality so different from class equality in America and what the reasoning says about American culture.
Thanks guys,
Allissa
I think that your topic is interesting and that you could talk about the fulfilment of the american dream amongst minorities. How the american dream has broadened from just including white males to allowing other people such as blacks and asians.
ReplyDeleteI think that, compared with racial and gender equality, class equality is extraordinarily complicated. It is difficult to define the scope of class equality including rights equality, wealth equality opportunity equality, etc. I suggest you provide a distinct definition of class equality in your research to further your discussion.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very sensitive questions about racial, class and gender equality. I have a class called women, gender and sexually. Our main topic is feminist. You can use some African-American women's paper as the secondary resource.
ReplyDeleteGood job in exploring the class equity problem. Racial equity and gender equity has been adressed a lot in America. It seems that class equity has not been discussed in such a passion. You could explore the reason that why there is a difference in the way people adress these three problems.
