Hi, I also think it would be helpful if you could better explain the central theme of your argument. From your presentation, I believe I remember your talking about people in America changing their attitude towards nature from working against it to working with it. Are you talking about moving from a culture of industrialization and trying to get rid of nature to a culture of working to save the environment? If so, I think it would be good to look at when this change in mind-set towards nature happened. Was it after a natural disaster, or just a slow progression? You could also give examples of the ways people have started using technology to work with nature, for example the push for green energy sources.
i like the idea that you are emphasizing in the changes of american values. in the past, we would not have cared at all for nature or the environment at all in order for technology to progress.

People care about the environment but at the same time a lot of people don't. Even if its something they don't realize like driving a car or throwing something out the window it still effects nature.
I think American people's attitude to the relationship between technology and nature has change a lot with time. Because people have new understanding about how technology influences nature. Nowadays, people realize that technology not only can damage nature, but also can protect and improve nature. Therefore, people have new concept about the technological influences on nature.
The relationship between technology and nature is a good one. U can demonstrate your topic focused on how people view these two and how these views changed over time. Are Tecch and nature always in a war? or can tech better serve nature. Finally you gotta connect theses two with American culture.
I think the thesis is good but you may want to narrow it down. You could say possibly how technolgy has evolved over time or how nature has become less and less prevalent. I think the thesis you have right now may be too broad and difficult to conquer.
I think that overall you did a great job with your presentation. I think that your thesis might be a little overwhelming trying to cover a lot of material. I think that it would be a good idea to narrow it up a bit, maybe by stating how americans are begining to work with nature and where the ideas derived from. I think this would help you keep it with the 8 pages.
I agree with everyone else it would be helpful and more believable if you were able to provide more explanation about what exactly you mean by this. Try to make a thesis a little simpler its seems a little too broad just dont want you to get lost in the argument of the paper and lose the reader. But nice presentation.
